Job Description: Financial Management Specialist
Description: The Health Department in Quetta, Balochistan is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Financial Management Specialist. This role will be responsible for overseeing and managing financial operations within the department, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to financial regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial management strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to provide accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and guidelines.
- Manage financial transactions, including budgeting, expenditure control, revenue collection, and cash flow management.
- Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments to identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to facilitate financial audits and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Provide guidance and support to department staff on financial matters, including training on financial management systems and processes.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop and implement financial planning and forecasting activities.
- Stay updated with financial best practices and industry trends to enhance financial management practices within the department.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a government or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and practices.
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Professional certifications in finance or accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA) will be an advantage.
