Job Summary: National Transmission & Despatch Company (NTDC) is currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Chief Internal Auditor. The job opening was advertised on 31st July 2023. The last date for application submission is 15th August 2023.
Responsibilities: As the Chief Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the internal audit function within NTDC. Your main duties will include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive internal audit strategies and plans.
- Conducting risk assessments to identify areas of potential risk and ensuring internal controls are in place to mitigate them.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
- Conducting financial and operational audits to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Reviewing financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Providing independent and objective assessments of NTDC's operations and financial performance.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Preparing and presenting audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the Audit Committee.
- Monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders and external auditors.
- Keeping abreast of developments in auditing standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience: To be eligible for the position of Chief Internal Auditor, candidates must have the following qualifications and experience:
- ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) or CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in internal auditing or accounting.
- Proven track record in leading and managing audit teams.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and objectively, maintaining high ethical standards.
- Knowledge of the energy or utility sector would be advantageous.
Job Type: Temporary The Chief Internal Auditor position is temporary and subject to the duration specified by NTDC.
