Job Summary: The Communication & Works Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Consultant to join our esteemed organization. As a Design Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert advice and innovative solutions for our projects in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KPK, Pakistan. This is a temporary position with an expected last date of 11th August 2023, or as per the paper advertisement.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project teams to understand design requirements, objectives, and constraints.
- Create visually appealing and functional design concepts, taking into account the specific project needs and government standards.
- Develop detailed design drawings, blueprints, and specifications using industry-standard software and tools.
- Offer expert guidance on design best practices, materials selection, and cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct on-site visits and assessments to ensure the implementation of designs align with the proposed plans.
- Continuously stay updated with the latest design trends, technologies, and construction practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in design consultancy, preferably with government projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
- Exceptional creativity and problem-solving skills to tackle diverse design challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
