Job Description:
The Fisheries Development Board is seeking applications from highly qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO will be responsible for leading the organization and providing strategic direction for the development and growth of the fisheries sector in Pakistan.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies, strategies, and plans for the development of the fisheries sector
- Ensure effective and efficient management of the organization
- Develop and maintain relationships with national and international stakeholders to promote the fisheries sector
- Collaborate with relevant government departments and agencies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies
- Develop and implement programs for capacity building and training of staff and stakeholders
- Prepare and present reports on the performance of the organization to the Board of Directors
- Ensure timely and effective implementation of projects and initiatives
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field from a recognized university, with a Ph.D. preferred
- At least 15 years of experience in a senior management position in the public or private sector
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of leading and managing organizations
- In-depth knowledge of the fisheries sector in Pakistan, including policy and regulatory frameworks, trends, and challenges
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively
- Fluency in English and Urdu, with excellent writing and presentation skills
This is a temporary position with a two-year contract, which may be extended subject to performance and availability of funds. The last date for submission of applications is 30 March 2023, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further selection process.
