Job Description: The School Education & Literacy Department is seeking experienced professionals for consultant positions. This is a temporary job opportunity based in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.
Vacancies:
- Chief Quantity Surveyor
- Project Engineer LGS Expert
- Coordinator Implementation Officer
- Electrical Engineer
- Assistant Project Engineer LGS Expert
Key Responsibilities:
- Chief Quantity Surveyor:
- Conduct quantity surveying activities for construction projects.
- Prepare and review cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
- Monitor project costs, analyze variances, and provide recommendations.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of projects within allocated budgets.
- Project Engineer LGS Expert:
- Provide technical expertise in the field of LGS (Light Gauge Steel) construction.
- Coordinate and supervise LGS construction projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections, evaluate progress, and resolve technical issues.
- Prepare project reports, including cost estimates, schedules, and material requirements.
- Coordinator Implementation Officer:
- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of education and literacy programs.
- Develop work plans, timelines, and performance indicators for program activities.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams to ensure effective program implementation.
- Electrical Engineer:
- Design and oversee electrical systems for educational infrastructure projects.
- Conduct electrical load calculations, prepare specifications, and review design drawings.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Assistant Project Engineer LGS Expert:
- Assist the Project Engineer LGS Expert in managing LGS construction projects.
- Support in monitoring project progress, quality control, and budget management.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
- Assist in preparing project reports and documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- For Chief Quantity Surveyor: Strong knowledge of quantity surveying techniques and cost estimation.
- For Project Engineer LGS Expert: Expertise in LGS construction techniques and project management.
- For Coordinator Implementation Officer: Experience in program coordination and implementation.
- For Electrical Engineer: Proficiency in electrical system design and installation.
- For Assistant Project Engineer LGS Expert: Basic understanding of LGS construction and project coordination.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
