We are pleased to announce job openings in the Ministry of Defence for the position of HPC Cluster Manager at NASTP Rawalpindi. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, a DAE or B.E degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science can also be considered.
As an HPC Cluster Manager, you will be responsible for managing and administering the High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters in a research-oriented environment. You will collaborate with researchers and scientists to optimize HPC cluster performance for various scientific computing applications.
We are also looking for an HPC Engineer to assist in the design and implementation of HPC solutions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
As a UAS Operator, you will operate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for remote sensing and mapping purposes. The candidate must have experience in operating UAVs and should be familiar with flight planning and data processing software.
A Traffic Control Operator is also required to manage and control traffic in and around the NASTP facility. The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and should be able to work in a high-stress environment.
We are also looking for a Scientific Officer who will be responsible for conducting research and development activities in the field of scientific computing. The candidate must have a Master's or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field, and should have a strong background in scientific computing applications.
Additionally, we require an HPC Cluster Admin who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the HPC cluster, including user support and system maintenance. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, and should have experience in Linux system administration.
Finally, we require a Software Engineer who will be responsible for developing software applications for scientific computing. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, and should have experience in software development using programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
