Description: National Logistics Cell (NLC), a premier government organization specializing in logistics and transportation services, is currently seeking experienced and skilled individuals to join our team as HTV Heavy Drivers. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficient and safe transportation operations of NLC in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
As an HTV Heavy Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and secure transportation of goods and materials. Your responsibilities will include operating heavy vehicles, adhering to traffic rules and safety regulations, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and functionality, and delivering goods to designated locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Driving: Operate heavy vehicles, such as trucks or trailers, in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Cargo Transportation: Load, unload, and transport a variety of goods, materials, or equipment to their designated destinations efficiently and securely.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of the assigned vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, fluids, and other essential components, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any issues promptly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, trip logs, fuel consumption, and any other required documentation as per organizational policies and procedures.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with the logistics team, reporting any delays, accidents, or incidents promptly and following instructions as provided.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, fellow passengers (if applicable), and other road users, practicing defensive driving techniques and taking necessary precautions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum education requirement is Primary/Middle/Matriculation.
- Valid HTV driving license is mandatory.
- Proven experience as an HTV Heavy Driver, preferably with experience in cargo transportation or logistics operations.
- Familiarity with traffic rules, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Good physical fitness and ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet delivery schedules.
- Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
