Title: Financial Management Specialist and Finance Accounts Specialist
Description:
Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is a renowned government organization in Pakistan, dedicated to poverty alleviation and social protection. BISP is currently looking for highly qualified and experienced professionals to join their team as Financial Management Specialist and Finance Accounts Specialist. The selected candidates will be responsible for managing financial aspects of BISP's programs and projects.
Job Details:
- Description: As Financial Management Specialist and Finance Accounts Specialist, you will be responsible for providing financial expertise, guidance, and oversight in the areas of financial management, accounting, budgeting, and reporting for BISP's programs and projects.
- Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial management policies, procedures, and systems in compliance with government regulations and international accounting standards.
- Manage and monitor financial resources, budgets, and expenditures for BISP's programs and projects, and provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure proper financial accounting and record-keeping, including preparation of financial statements, reconciliation of accounts, and maintenance of financial records and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams in financial planning, budgeting, and financial monitoring and reporting.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, auditors, and donors, in financial management matters and respond to queries and requests for information.
- Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments to identify and mitigate financial risks and ensure effective financial management and control.
- Provide capacity building and training to BISP staff on financial management and accounting principles and practices.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or MS degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting, or finance-related roles, preferably in government organizations or development sector.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and government accounting rules and regulations in Pakistan.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in English and Urdu languages.
- Willingness to travel within Pakistan as required.
