Description: Pakistan Railway Advisory & Consultancy Services (PRACS), a leading government organization in the field of railway operations and management, is currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated professional to join our team as an Assistant Director Commercial. This is a remarkable opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of commercial operations and play a key role in shaping the future of Pakistan's railway sector.
As the Assistant Director Commercial, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the commercial activities of PRACS, with a focus on revenue generation, business development, and customer satisfaction. Your role will involve strategic planning, market analysis, contract management, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies to optimize revenue generation, enhance market presence, and achieve business targets.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, assess market trends, and conduct feasibility studies to expand PRACS' commercial portfolio and diversify revenue streams.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and addressing their needs and concerns effectively.
- Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and execution of commercial contracts, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and favorable terms for PRACS.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges, providing strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of commercial professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment, and ensuring the achievement of departmental goals and targets.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or MS degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a relevant field.
- Proven experience in commercial management, business development, or related roles, preferably within the transportation or logistics sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and formulate effective strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in contract management, including contract negotiation, drafting, and review.
- Knowledge of the railway industry, transportation operations, and regulatory frameworks would be advantageous.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, foster innovation, and drive results.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
