Description:
Balochistan Integrated Water Resources Management & Development (BIWRMD) is a government organization based in Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan. They are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Financial Management Specialist to join their team. The Financial Management Specialist will play a crucial role in managing financial resources and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and procedures.
Job Details:
- Description: As a Financial Management Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial management aspects of the organization, including budgeting, financial reporting, financial analysis, financial monitoring, and internal control systems.
- Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial management policies, procedures, and systems in accordance with the organization's objectives and financial regulations.
- Prepare annual budgets, monitor budget implementation, and provide regular financial reports to management.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor financial transactions, review financial records, and ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance on financial management matters to staff and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits and follow-up on audit recommendations.
- Provide support in procurement and contract management activities, including review of financial proposals and contract terms.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to donors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Provide training and capacity building to staff on financial management practices and procedures.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial management, preferably in a government or development organization.
- Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and financial management best practices.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial software and computer applications, including MS Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan.
