Consultant Job at Forest Division Chitral
Description: Forest Division Chitral, located in Chitral, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Consultant. This is a full-time job opportunity in the field of management jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consultancy Services: Provide expert advice, guidance, and recommendations related to forestry and environmental management, including forest conservation, sustainable forest management, biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation and adaptation, community forestry, and other related areas.
- Project Management: Assist in planning, implementation, and monitoring of forestry and environmental projects, including conducting assessments, developing strategies and action plans, preparing reports, and evaluating project impacts.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, NGOs, and other organizations, to promote coordination, collaboration, and partnerships for effective forestry and environmental management.
- Capacity Building: Conduct training sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns to build capacity and enhance knowledge and skills of forest and environmental management personnel and stakeholders.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research, data analysis, and technical assessments to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities in forestry and environmental management and provide evidence-based recommendations for policy development and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related field from a recognized institution. Higher qualification or specialization in forestry or environmental management will be preferred. Candidates with MS degree in relevant field will be given preference.
- Experience: Relevant experience in forestry or environmental management, including project management and stakeholder coordination, is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data analysis, GIS, and remote sensing. Knowledge of national and international forestry and environmental policies, laws, and regulations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu. Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and technical information to diverse audiences.
