  • Candidate kisi recognized professional body jaise ICMA, ICAAP, ya fellow PIPFA wagera ka member hona zaroori hai.

• Zimmedariyan (Responsibilities): University ki financial team ko lead karna, budget banana, financial records rakhna, ERP implementation mein hissa lena, HEC aur ministries ke sath liaison rakhna, aur ADP/PSDP schemes ko monitor karna.

Overview

The Government of Sindh, Universities & Boards Department, is seeking a high-caliber, energetic, proactive, and result-oriented professional to fill the senior management role of Director Finance at Dawood University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi. The appointment will be on a contract basis for a period of three (03) years, offering a market-competitive salary package commensurate with qualification and experience.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Age Limit: Maximum 55 years on the closing date of the advertisement.

• Minimum Education: CA / ACCA / ACMA OR a Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.

• Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in handling complex financial matters within reputable commercial organizations or public sector universities.

• Professional Affiliation: The applicant must be a member of recognized professional bodies, such as ICMA, ICAAP, fellow PIPFA, or equivalent.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities

The Director Finance will lead the university's financial team and assist in fiscal leadership, financial reporting, and budget generation. Core duties include:

• Managing and developing university budgets.

• Maintaining structured financial records and accounts while ensuring robust internal financial controls.

• Playing an active role in the university's ERP software implementation.

• Maintaining close coordination on financial matters with stakeholders, internal/external audits, government ministries, and the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

• Providing sound financial advice to the Syndicate and Board of Governors (BoG) of the University.

• Monitoring and managing financial aspects of all operational ADP/PSDP developmental schemes of the university.
